Submission Guidelines
Please read these carefully before submitting, as articles that don't meet the criteria will be sent back for revision or declined.
1. Original, Human-Written Content
We do not accept fully AI-generated articles. All submissions are checked for AI-generated content at the time of review. It is completely fine to use AI tools to paraphrase, edit, or polish your own writing, but the core article must be written and researched by you.
2. Word Count
Every article should be a minimum of 800 words. Try not to exceed 3,000 words in a single post. If your topic requires more depth, feel free to split it into a multi-part series instead of cramming everything into one long post.
3. Structure and Readability
Break your article into clear sections using proper headings and subheadings. Add relevant images where they help explain a point. Keep your language simple, clear, and easy to follow. All submissions must be in English.
4. Images
Do not use copyrighted images. You may use:
- Free, non-copyright image sources such as Unsplash, Pexels, or Pixabay
- Free AI image generation tools to create original visuals
Always credit the source if the image license requires attribution.
5. Links and Affiliate Content
Do not include any affiliate links in your article without prior acknowledgment and approval from the Mayhemcode team. Unauthorized affiliate links will be removed before publishing.
6. Tone and Language
Since articles are also cross-posted to Medium and LinkedIn, please maintain a formal, professional writing style. Avoid slang, overly casual phrasing, or clickbait language.
7. SEO Guidelines
To help the article rank well on Google, please follow good SEO practice:
- Include a clear, keyword-rich title
- Naturally use relevant SEO keywords throughout the content, especially in the introduction, headings, and conclusion
- Avoid keyword stuffing, keep it natural
- Use descriptive headings (H2, H3) that reflect what each section covers
How to Submit Your Article
You can send your article to us in either of these formats:
- Google Sheet / Doc – Create a new tab or page within our shared collaboration sheet with your article content
- Markdown (.md) file – Send your article as a
.mdfile
Once submitted, our team will review it against the guidelines above. We may request edits before publishing, and we will let you know if any part needs to be reworked for AI-content or copyright reasons.
Collaboration and Pricing
We're open to paid collaborations, sponsored posts, and long-term writing partnerships. Pricing is discussed on a case-by-case basis depending on the article's length, topic, research depth, and exclusivity.
